Yes We DID!

first-couple

I dont even know what words to use to describe the way I feel about President-elect Obama’s victory.  I simply cannot believe that this came to fruition.  I never really expected him to win when I first began to support him.  I cannot believe that after making hundreds of phone calls and knocking on hundreds of doors, it all worked out.  I am overwhelmed.  I have shook hands with President-elect Obama three times and now he is going to be the President.  Damn.

A perfect example of why I support him, during his speech he acknowledged that he represents the whole country, not just those who voted for him.  He has always been and remains committed to a bi-partisan government.

Now I want to comment on the next First Lady.  I told her once that she would make the most beautiful First Lady that this country has ever seen.  She blushed when I told her that (which is hard to see on a black woman) and told me that ‘you’re so sweet’.  I am glad that my prediction is going to be true.

I want to commend Senator McCain for his gracious concession speech last night.   He was very humble and did not express any bitterness towards the President-elect.  What really impressed me was that when he mentioned Mr. Obama’s name and the crowd booed, he hushed them.

Im Eriq Kiltz and I approved this message.

  1. I agree that John McCain was very humble in his consession speech. It made me proud of him even if he ran a poor campaign.

As for Barack Obama goes I congratulate him on his victory and acknowledge that he ran a more astute campaign. He went after the right demographic groups and got their votes. Now that he is the President of the United States I will respect the man in that office and will always respsect the office. This respect will last until something is done by that man to harm the country either in terms of National Security or economics. I hope for the best and again, offer him and you my whole hearted congratulations.
