Who’s The Douche Bag Who Thought Gasoline From Corn Was A Good Idea?

This has got to be one of the stupidest ideas humankind has ever thought up.  What the hell sense does it make to take a commodity which was already getting expensive and grows very slow and only in limited areas and make fuel for it?  The governor of Utah had the state study whether it was economically feasible and environmentally efficient to use E85 in the state’s fleet.  The study concluded that transporting the ethanol to the west from the midwest on trucks which run on diesel actually contributed to MORE carbon emissions than if they just used gasoline.  That combined with the fact that there is a finite amount of suitable land for growing corn make me shake my head in a state of flabbergastedness.  Why is it that nations like Brazil have figured out that it makes sense to use bamboo which they actually grow in HIGHWAY MEDIANS!!!! all over the country!!!!!  Why didnt we think of that????!!!!!  What the hell ever happened to our ingenuity?    Stupid American car companies think its cool to make cars which run on E85 while the Japanese realize that hybrids and fuel cell cars are the way to go.  And GM wonders why they suck…

  1. Not only that, but doesn’t corn destroy the nutrients in the soil where it grows? Everyone knows that. Corn sux. We should be growing Amaranth instead. Even the ancient Aztecs figured out that much.

American ingenuity has gone to the dogs.
. . . Hey, that’s it ! Maybe we can hand over these problems to our pets. Many of them eat better than us anyhow…

  2. I mostly agree with you. But if someone is truly disgusted in America they should either work to make it better or find somewhere else to live.

I for one am proud of America and feel that if a market economy and entrepeneurship are allow to fester most of our economic problems will be history.

  3. Regarding this issue, I am working to change America by refusing to purchase ethanol. It is not the answer to our woes and is causing more problems than it is worth.
