YOU Have The Power!
The time is quickly approaching. For those of you who have not yet voted or plan not to vote, pay heed. Transfer of power as set up in our constitution is dependant on an informed, participating people. What kind of person would just blindly accept someone as their leader without at least trying to shape their leader according to their wishes? Such a person would just as well live in a dictatorship for all the interest they give in a democratic government. Government is not a one-way street. For our government to provide services and leadership as set up in the constitution, we have to fulfill our part of the bargain and VOTE! If you don’t vote, the government does not give a damn what you think. If you don’t vote, your elected representative will not pay attention to issues of concern to you. If you don’t vote, YOU. DON’T. MATTER! If you don’t vote, you forfeit your right to complain about your government. You have SPIT in the face of democracy and told your government that you don’t care how you are led. You are a hypocrite! You take advantage of the many wonderful benefits of democracy without participating in said democracy. Your government will continue to take away your rights and power if you don’t exercise them. Take advantage of the power given to you and take back your country! Get your lazy arse off the couch and VOTE! It’s not hard… Your county clerk will even mail you a ballot that you can mail back! How easy is that?
