When Pundits Arent

According to Wikipedia, Pundit is defined as: an expert or opinion-leader who analyzes events in his or her area of expertise in the popular media.  One would expect a presidential candidate to be, if not an expert, at least well advised in matters they speak of.  To that end, what the crap was Mike Huckabee smoking today when he informed the press of the horrible threat posed by 660 illegal immagrants from Pakistan?  Aside from the fact that 660 seems like a miniscule number compared to the estimated 12 million illegal Mexicans in our country, Mr. Huckabee did not even know where he got his ‘fact’.  He was quoted as saying, “Those are numbers that I got today from a briefing, and I believe they are CIA and immigration numbers.”  One would have to hear the sound bite to appreciate his stumbling around this question.  I say to Mr. Huckabee, stick to God.  Even if your religious rhetoric is mearly playing to the evangelicals in Iowa, at least you sound like you know what you are talking about.  Of course, your campaign speeches sound like a sermon.

  1. But…but, Chuck Norris supports Huckabee! Of course, when your biggest accomplishment appears to be making a kind of gay campaign ad (could Huckabee BE any more of a Norris fanboy?), that’s not really a gleaming bastion of hope.

And, you know, Mike Huckabee’s an idiot.
